Carol Ann Hendrix, 67, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on August 5, 2005, following a brief illness. She was born January 28, 1938, in Niagara Falls, NY to parents Robert R. Robinson and Mary Louise Allen. Carol graduated from Arizona State University and worked many years in the finance industry. She served on the Fountain Hills School Board from 1969to 1975 as both Board President and Clerk of the Board. That experience prompted her to become a teacher of the gifted in Language Arts and a Reading Specialist. She taught for many years at Bourgade High School and Desert Sands Middle School in the Cartwright School District, serving as Language Arts Chairman. Carol is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, and her son, Allen. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah of Tucson, her uncles Tim (Pamela) Allen and Peter (Belinda) Allen of Phoenix, and her sister-in-law, Jean McDonald of Needles, CA, and several nieces and nephews in California and Illinois. A Memorial Mass was held Wednesday, August 10, 2005 at St Jerome's Catholic Church, 10815 N. 35th Ave., Phoenix, AZ with interment in Kingman, AZ tat a later date. Family suggests contributions to American Diabetes Association, 9034 N. 23rd Ave., #8, Phoenix, AZ 85021-2850. Arrangements by Messinger Indian School Mortuary.
