Craig Walter Hofmann, 54, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2005, at his home in La Grange, CA. He grew up in the Phoenix area, graduating from Arcadia High and ASU. He was the quintessential outdoor person, a man of the Southwest, with a passion for competitive marksmanship, fishing, archaeology, and gold mining. At 14 he and his father bagged Trophy Bucks, resulting in a photo in the Arizona Republic. He never hunted again but was an excellent competitive marksman. In a friend's words: 'Craig was a very hard worker, strong competitor, and great friend... I honestly don't know anyone who didn't like Craig. Craig set the example that most of us should follow.' Craig is survived by his wife Roberta of La Grange, parents Jois and Hugh Hofmann of La Habra Heights, CA; sister and brother-in-law Katrine Hofmann and David Blauvelt and their son David of Santa Ana, CA; sister Carol Krantz, Henderson, NV. Services August 27, 2005, First Christian Church, Whittier, CA. Published in The Arizona Republic on 8/21/2005. See Also: Find_A_Grave |
