Junior Clark Johnson, 72, resident of Cottonwood, Arizona, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2007. He was born March 18, 1934 to Harry and Leona (Godwin) Johnson in Parsons, West Virginia, where he grew up and graduated from Tucker County High School.

Junior proudly served his country as a Technician Sergeant in the United States Air Force. He worked as a Satellite Controller in Civilian Space with General Electrics.

He enjoyed traveling and fishing. Junior loved Blue Grass music, of which he attended numerous festivals. He also enjoyed anything regarding the Civil War, and was extremely knowledgeable about such.

He is preceded in death by his son, John Michael Johnson; his parents; and all his siblings. Junior leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Joyce M. Johnson of Cottonwood, Ariz.; his daughters, Elaine LeCours of Parsons, W. V., Debbie Johnson of Ridgely, Md., Julie Johnson-Kershaw of Ormond Beach, Fla., Leiann Small, husband, Wesley of Ocean Springs, Miss., and Chandra Thomas, husband, Brett of Camp Verde, Ariz.; and, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home in Cottonwood, on Friday, January 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.
