| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Wednesday, January 16, 2013 Joseph "Joey" Travis Arter of Bagdad, Ariz., born Aug. 23, 1995, in Chino Valley, Ariz., passed away Jan. 11, 2013, in Dewey-Humboldt, Ariz. Services will be 11 a.m. Jan. 21, 2013, at the Yavapai Community College Performing Arts Center, 1100 E. Sheldon Ave., Prescott. Arrangements by Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. ~~~~~~~ The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona, Thursday, January 17, 2013 William Wayne Loughrige, 51, and his son Joseph Travis Arter Loughrige, 17, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, in a car accident near Humboldt, Ariz. Joey was a senior at Prescott High School where he was on the wrestling team. Prior to transferring to PHS he attended Bagdad High School where he excelled on the football field. Joey enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, cars and being unpredictable. He was a wild and free spirit who could put a smile on anyone's face. He was easily liked and had a lot of friends. Joey is survived by his mother, Jennifer Coats, and her husband, James Coats; brothers, Jack Gasho, Aaron Loughrige, and Nicholas Loughrige; sisters, Melissa Gasho, Jennifer Lynn Loughrige Miller, Kristina King Loughrige and KateLynn Coats; his maternal grandma, Mary Robinson; great maternal grandparents, Pat and Rosie Jacquez; his Aunt Johanna Sheperd (Brian); and numerous cousins. Wayne was a lieutenant for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. Wayne's law enforcement career spanned 32 years with the Maricopa County Sheriff, the Mesa Police Department and the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office. A brother, Kenneth Carl Loughrige, predeceased him in 1964. He is survived by his wife, Kristine Maggard-Loughrige; his parents, Bill and Millie Loughrige; his sisters, Joyce Loughrige, Allison Loughrige Greenhalgh; and brother-in-law Matt Greenhalgh; his sons, Aaron Loughrige, Nicholas Loughrige and Jack Gasho; his daughters, Jennifer Lynn Loughrige Miller, Melissa Gasho, and Kristina King Loughrige; and his grandson, Avrik. A joint Celebration of Life service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at the Yavapai Community College, 1100 E. Sheldon St. in Prescott. Memorials for Joey are suggested to The Joey Arter Loughrige Memorial Fund, a Scholarship Fund, for a member of the Prescott High School Wrestling Team, in care of the Kiwanis Club of Tempe-Sunrise, 1118 E.
