| The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Saturday, February 07, 2009 Betty Jane Sturdevant, age 83, died on Feb. 5, 2009, at her home in Prescott. She was born in Flint, Mich., on Dec. 7, 1925. Betty graduated from Henry Ford School of Nursing in 1947 as a registered nurse. She married her childhood sweetheart, Harry Sturdevant, in 1949 and moved to Arizona in 1959. Betty dedicated 35 years to nursing at YRMC. Following retirement she volunteered at Prescott Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by Harry in 1992. She is survived by children Scott (Shelly) of Colorado, Jan of New Mexico, Lori (Curt) of California, Todd (Julie) of Arizona, and Traci (Bill) of Colorado; brothers and sisters Dorothy, Bill, Chuck and Shirley; grandchildren Megan, Matthew, Heath, Tauni, Amy, Kristi, Carrie, Tyler, Joshua, Ashley, Brandy, Nolan and Billy; and great-grandchildren Christopher, Kymberleigh, Cooper, Kaleab, Connor and Benjamin. A visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, 2009, at Heritage Memory Mortuary and the service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at Heritage Memory Mortuary, 131 Grove Ave., Prescott, Ariz. Memorial contributions may be made to Prescott Meals on Wheels, 1280 E. Rosser St., Prescott, Ariz., 86301 or YRMC Hospice, 3262 N. Windsong Drive, Prescott Valley, Ariz., 86314.
