The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Friday, February 06, 2009 March 13, 1950 - Feb. 2, 2009 This afternoon we gather to celebrate the life of Dennis Wilson, also known affectionately to many as "Mr. Fix-All." Dennis passed over while sleeping at his home on Sandy Lane. Friends and family will gather this afternoon in the chapel of The Salvation Army, downtown Prescott, where he attended regularly. Dennis, born in New Orleans, La., enjoyed a storied life, graduating high school in Nashville, Tenn., and attending the University of Tennessee. He was named "All-Nashville" in football and track before beginning a colorful career including stints as a commercial printer and a residential contractor and, in semi-retirement, he began a local handyman business he dubbed "Mr. Fix-All." He was also active in "Neighbors Helping Neighbors" in which he would ply his trade - for free. Dennis moved to Prescott 10 years ago to be nearer his mom, Wanda Kali of Prescott Valley. Wanda invites friends, family and clients to join his children, Kevin, Christian and Ashley, along with their mom, Mary Lou, in celebrating his life this afternoon at 3 p.m. Also surviving Dennis are his brothers, John and Dale of Prescott. Predeceasing him are brothers Douglas and Dathan and a sister, Wanda. In lieu of flowers Dennis would have you remember him with a gift to The Salvation Army or Neighbors Helping Neighbors of Prescott, Ariz. Information provided by survivors. |
