Beverly "Carol" Bulla, 64, passed away at home in Scottsdale, Arizona on September 14, 2004 after a valiant battle with cancer.

Carol completed her journey home to God with love, dignity and hope, a reflection of how she lived her life.

Carol was born in Hastings, Oklahoma on Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1939 and resided in Arizona for most of her life. Carol attended Gilbert High School where she was the state of Arizona's Future Farmer's of America sweetheart.

In 1961, Carol graduated from Arizona State University where she was a member of Chi Omega and met the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Bulla, whom she married after graduation. Bob and Carol enjoyed 43 years of marriage.

In addition to Bob, Carol is survived by their three loving children, Bonnie, Kristi, John and her mother, Ruth Wiehl. Carol was preceded in death by her father, Joe Wiehl, brother, William Wiehl, and sister, Joann Lang. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Carol was active in the community and gave tirelessly of herself to others. She was on the board of the Arthritis Foundation, the Arizona Chapter, and founded Salute to Summer, a fund raiser to send children with childhood arthritis to summer camp. Carol also suffered from Rheumatoid arthritis for many years, but the disease did not prevent her from creating beautiful oil paintings that were a highlight of the Salute to Summer auction. Carol was also a board member of the Desert Botanical Gardens, a member of Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak and a former member of Friendship Village.

Carol will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but she will always remain in our hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate Carol's life was held on Monday, September 20, 2004 at Pinnacle Presbyterian Church, 25150 N. Pima Rd., Scottsdale, AZ 85255 (480-585-9448).
