Born in Ooiltic, Indiana on Nov. 28, 1923.
Departed on June 12, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz.

Fern Sturgeon, 84, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, died peacefully June 12, 2008 in Cottonwood.

She was born November 28, 1923 to George and Elsie Sons in Oolitic, Indiana. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona with her family in 1960; spending most of her career in Retail Sales. After retiring in 1983, she and her late husband, James moved to Cottonwwod.

She loved music and her crafts, but most of all she loved her family. Her love was unconditonal - and will live on in the hearts of all those who knew and loved her as she truly blessed each and every heart she touched.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James. She leave behind her two sons, Tony (Welthy) of Cottonwood and James Jr. (Judy) of Texas; two daughters, Nikki of Tenn. and Maryann of Cottonwood; sister, Roberta (Rubert) of New Mexico; three brothers, James, John, and Ronald - all of Ind.; 9 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Private Family Services will be held at a later date.
