Jean Fagerberg

Jean Fagerberg, 55, of 205 Vista, died Friday, Oct. 29, in Phoenix.

Born Aug. 21, 1916 in Prescott, Ariz., she was a member of a pioneer family.

Her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Nelson, settled here from Canada in 1894. She attended Prescott schools, graduating from Casti Lleja School in Palo Alto, Calif., and attended Ward Bellont School at Nashville, Tenn., and the U of A.

Mrs. Fagerberg was a member of the AAUW and was active with the American Red Cross for many years.

During World War II she served with the WAVES, and later was active with the American Legion in Prescott.

Survivors include one sister, Mrs. Louise McDaniel of Prescott and one brother, Dixon Fagerberg of Sedona, Ariz.

Memorial funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church.

Note: Jean was the daughter of Oscar and Amy Jane (Nelson) Fagerberg.
