Thomas Edward Lowry Born in Ajo, Arizona on June 18, 1954. Departed on June 11, 2008 and resided in Camp Verde, Ariz. Thomas Edward Lowry, age 53, resident of Camp Verde, passed away in Cottonwood on Wednesday, June 11, 2008. He was the son of Joseph Edward and Annabelle (Johnson) Lowry; born June 18, 1954 in Ajo, Arizona. Thomas graduated from the Camp Verde High School and then went on to Kicking Horse Cooking School in Montana. He worked for the Yavapai-Apache Nation as a cook at the Cliffe Castle Lodge. Thomas had the opportunity and experience of being a movie actor in "Winter Hawk". He enjoyed fishing, art drawing, baseball, cooking and spending time with his family and significant other, Kaija Begay. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, grandpa and friend; and he is now at peace with God and those who have gone on before him. He is preceded in death by his mother, Anabelle Johnson Lowry; and his wife, Deva Ann Lowry. He is survived by his fiancée, Kaija Begay of Camp Verde; two step-sons, Victor (Becky) Hamaley and Vernon Hamaley-all of Camp Verde; his daughter, Valerie Lowry of Camp Verde; six sisters, Brenda (Tony) Shirley, Audrey (Pete) Ibarra, Joanne (Cameron) Grey, Juanita Young, Margaret (Victor) Lowry-Campos and Helen Shaw - all of Camp Verde. He also leaves behind seven grandchildren; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A Visitation is scheduled for Monday, June 16, 2008 from 6-10pm at the Rock Church in Camp Verde; with Funeral Services to follow on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at 10 a.m. - also to be held at the Rock Church.
