DYESS, Vera P. Vera P. Dyess, 76, of Casa Grande died Jan. 28, 2004 at Casa Grande Regional Medical Center. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The funeral there will follow at 10, with Bishop Ricardo Trujillo officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery. Mrs. Dyess was born Jan. 11, 1928 in Ajo and was a daughter of Adam and Grace Passey. She was a homemaker and a lifetime member of the LDS Church. She was devoted to her family and was a great hand-crafter. Survivors include her husband, Cecil; two daughters, Debra Cupps and Renee Chapman of Eagar; a sister, Virginia Tillett of Provo, Utah; two brothers, Robert Passey of Green Forest, Ark., and Gail Passey of Oregon; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Asenath McRae and Marva Delay, and a son, Richard Dyess. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud Casa Grande Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
