He later went on to earn his degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin, and moved to Arizona in 1956. He worked as an engineer for Motorola for 32 years until his retirement in 1988.

He found great purpose in his loving devotion to Joyce, his beloved bride of 54 years. He was preceded in death by his brother, David.

While at Motorola he was awarded membership in the Motorola Scientific and Technical Society for Technical Contribution to the Motorola Government Electronics Group. He was an amateur radio operator, call sign N7DS, and held an Extra Class license for nearly 40 years.

His loving memory will forever remain alive in our hearts until we see him again.

A memorial service was held at Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3257 E. University Dr., Mesa, AZ. Contributions may be made in his memory to Pilgrim Evangelical Lutheran Church.
