CANEZ, Jose Luis Duran, Sr. Jose Luis Duran Canez Sr. 86, of Phoenix, died January 1, 2005. He was preceded in death by his wife Emilia; eldest son Louie and infant son Mario. He is survived by his daughter-in-law Lupe (Louie); children, Patricia (Tony) Beltran, Rev. Jorge, Rosemary (Ernie) Angulo, David (Louella), Pauline (Andy) Wallace, Sandra (Albert) Lopez and Maria "Poopsie" (Cathy). He is also survived by 27 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, his faithful furry companion "Chiquita" and his feathered friend "Speckles", many relatives and many other people who loved him as a friend and father. Luis worked for many years as a field laborer foreman and as a plasterer. His life was full of Love and Friendship. Even though he didn't amass much worldly wealth, he was rich in spirit and grace. Rosary Wednesday January 5th at Holy Family Catholic Church, 6802 S. 24th Street in Phoenix. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday January 6th at the church. The family requests that donations in his name be made to The Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St. for their generous support and services that Luis experienced. Luis will be missed by all of us but his spirit will live in us for the rest of our lives. We love you Deddy, Tata, Tio and Friend.
