MASOWDI, Jane Sayers
Jane Sayers Masowdi, 77, of Phoenix, AZ passed away January 22, 2005. She was born in Detroit, Michigan on August 4, 1927. In 1932, with her father Edward Norris Sayers, a WWI purple heart recipient, and her mother Ruth Mildred (McElmurry) she moved west. They settled in Ukiah, California and later in Napa.

She received a Masters degree in Bio-chemistry from the University of California, Berkeley in 1949. She worked as a chemist for the Department of Energy and for the Navy, before becoming a homemaker.

She raised one daughter with husband Tod Campbell until his death in 1968. She raised two sons with husband Amir Masowdi. She will be greatly missed by her husband Amir, children Leslie, Zeb and Ali, and granddaughter Lorin. Her ashes will be dispersed in Northern California. Published in The Arizona Republic on 1/29/2005.
