James B. Tamblyn, 81, of Peoria, formally of Libertyville and Prescott, Arizona, passed away on Sunday April 22, 2007, at Liberty Village. Born on June 4, 1925, in Richmond to Charles and Delia Lenehan Tamblyn, he married Ruth Michaels in Libertyville on Sept. 10, 1949.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth; daughter Rebecca (Curtis) Pence of Dunlap; grandchildren Emily and Michael Pence; brother Norbert Tamblyn of Florida; and sister Lillian Tamblyn of Grayslake.

His parents; daughter, Christine; two brothers; and four sisters preceded him in death.

James worked as a production planner for Abbott Lab, retiring in 1982. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Peoria where a memorial mass will be at a later date, along with services in Libertyville and Prescott, also at a later date.

The Cremation Society of Mid-Illinois Co. is assisting the family with arrangements.
