MARDOCK, Edna Jane
Edna Jane Mardock, 68, of Phoenix, Arizona, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at her home following a short but valiant battle with cancer. Edna was born on October 22, 1934, in Morristown, Tennessee. After graduating from Kingswood school in 1953, Edna went on to earn a nursing degree from Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1956. She met John F. Mardock at Menorah Hospital in Kansas City, where she was working as a nurse and he was a medical student. The two were married on August 17, 1958 in the University Friends Church in Kansas City, Kansas, and she became a well-loved member of his large family.

Edna is survived by John and their two daughters, Marsha Jayne Mardock and Michelle Anne Mardock. Edna's devotion to taking care of all people and animals in her vicinity, her love of home and garden, her culinary expertise and charm as a hostess will remain with us forever. In celebration of Edna's life, a memorial service was held at John and Edna's home in Phoenix on Saturday, March 8. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E.
