Genevieve Elizabeth Mitchell left this earth on Nov. 14,2007. She was born on July 25, 1932, to Bill and Laura Kellis in Elizabeth, N.J., where she spent her childhood years.

She moved to Middletown, N.J.,as an adult and lived by the "shore" where she raised her family of four; Mike Mitchell of Prescott, Tom Mitchell of York, Pa., Barb Collins of Prescott and Eddy Mitchell of Prescott Valley.

Gen's enthusiasm and love of nature led her to become active with the "American LittoralSociety" and the conservation of the ocean and its beaches. She also was an exhibited nature photographer all along the Eastern seaboard and loved to travel to New England as well as Europe.

Gen moved to Prescott in 1983 and met the love of her life, her husband of 22 years, Wally Naegele.

Gen has 12 amazing grandchildren and nine adorable great-grandchildren.

Gen's love of music, outdoors, animals and life were evident in her everyday activities and her caring, giving and loving manner contagious for all of those who knew her. Her family knows how lucky they were to have had her as their own and are so proudto have called her "Darlin', Ma and Grama G."

There will be a celebration of Gen's life on Dec. 8, 2007, at 1 p.m. at The Highlands Center for Natural History in Prescott, where Gen spent many years as an active docent.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in her name, to the Highlands Center, 1375 S. Walker Road, Prescott, Ariz., 86303.

Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with Gen' last wishes.
