Laura Jean Myers, 68, passed away Feb. 20, 2009, in Prescott Valley, Ariz., after a valiant battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 8, 1940, in Los Angeles, Calif., daughter of Claude and Margaret (Coleman) Kimmel.

Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend who will be loved and missed by her family and all who knew her.

Laura and her husband Mel shared 36 years together before her passing and she is survived by her husband Mel and daughters Lori Lee Roberts, Lisa Dawn Garcia and Michelle Ellegene Fabis. She is also survived by her brother Wayne Kimmel and sister Carol Joan Moore.

Commemoration services in honor of Laura will be held on Thursday, Feb. 26, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7885 E. Long Look Dr., Prescott Valley, with a visitation for family and friends one hour prior to the services at the church. A committal service and burial will take place at 2 p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona at 23029 N. Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, Ariz.

Heritage Memory Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
