Virginia Lorraine (Mason) Graham

Virginia L. Graham, 82, of Prescott, Arizona passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2007, at the Meadow Park Care Center in Prescott. She was born November 5, 1924, in Enterprise, Oregon, to Loyd Mason and Agnes Carpenter.

She attended schools in Idaho and Oregon where she grew up and worked at various jobs. In 1946, she met her future husband, Van D. Graham at Bend, Oregon. They were married in early 1947.

Their daughter, Linda Diane Graham was born September 29, 1947. Virginia and Van moved to Prescott, Arizona, in 1983, after years of travel in the heavy construction project field.

Virginia enjoyed many years of hiking, camping and backpacking. She was an active

Honorary Life Time member of the Prescott Outings Club. She loved nature's wild life and wonders. She loved all of the family pets that she watched over and cared for over the years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, father and brother, Gene Mason.

A celebration of Virginia's life will take place at 11 a.m. April 3, 2007, at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott.

Graveside service will follow at 1 p.m. at the Pioneers' Home Cemetery in Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Ranch Road, Prescott, Ariz., 86301, in Virginia's name will be appreciated.

Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home assisted the family with final arrangements.
