Joseph E. Clarkson, age 73, resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2008. He was the son of James A. and Victoria H. (Campion) Clarkson; born in Fall River, Massachusetts on January 2, 1935.

Joseph attended Diamond Vocational and became a Journeyman Sheet Metal Mechanic and Entrepreneur. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran who served his country during the Korean Conflict as Airman First Class.

Joseph leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Marilyn Clarkson of Cottonwood; his son, Michael Clarkson of San Francisco, California; three daughters, Nancy DeNoyer with her husband, Kevin of Scottsdale, Kathleen Jensen with her husband, Christopher of Cottonwood, and Elizabeth Clarkson with her partner, John Delaney of Vancouver, Washington; his brother, James Clarkson with his wife, Loretta of Middletown, Rhode Island; and one granddaughter, Michelle DeNoyer. Joseph's sister, Dorothy Hanley precedes him in death.

A Memorial Mass will be held at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church on Friday, May 16, 2008 at 10:00am. Joseph's final resting place will be at the Prescott National Cemetery, Prescott, Ariz.
