Departed on May 17, 2003 and resided in Sedona, Ariz.

James F. Barnett, 69, of Sedona, Arizona, died on Saturday, May 17, 2003. He was born January 1, 1934 in Murphysboro, Illinois.

He served in the United States Air Force from which he retired,achieving the rank of Sargent. He then worked as a jet engine mechanic until his retirement. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and the Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife June Barnett of Sedona, a daughter Sherie Crump and her husband John; daughter Carrie Barnett; two sons: Larry Barnett and wife Loretta; Barry Barnett and wife Elaine a sister Rosemary Barnett a brother Kenny Barnett, a stepspn, six grandchildren and six step-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.

Westcott Funeral Home of Cottonwood, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial donations may be sent to the American Legion or The Elks.
