Jeffery Vette Cooke May 14,1951 - Nov. 11, 2007

On Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, Jeffery left us here on earth but will be in our hearts forever. Jeffery left us doing one of the many things he enjoyed, riding one of his lovingly customized motorcycles.

Jeffery was an avid rider and could be seen riding daily the southern Arizona highways. This was a passion for Jeff who did everything in his life with passion and on his own terms. Although Jeff loved his bikes, his first love was his love of horses. He had many accomplishments in the equine world. One being his stallion named Drifters Gold Bar, who was with Jeff for 20 years. He took pride in the care he gave to his many horses and dogs that he and his wife Linda shared their home with.

He worked for various horse trainers throughout Calif. and Ariz. Jeff developed his own gentle way of training his equine friends. He had two U.S. patents for equine products and training tools and belonged to many associations in the Equine world. Jeff will be missed by his many special friends.

Jeff was born to Amory J. Cooke and Paola P. Cooke (Huck) in 1951 in Illinois.

He attended school throughout Ariz., Calif. and Mich. He graduated from RLS in Pebble Beach, Calif. and the Western School of Horse Shoeing in Phoenix. He worked throughout the cattle Industries in Ariz. and Calif.

Jeff leaves behind many loved ones including his wife Linda; step-children Dan and Nicole; sister Chris Bila, husband Mike of Ariz.; brother Mitchell Mathes, wife Dawn; Jeffs father, Amory Cooke, wife Phoebe of Calif.; niece Alanna, husband Bart; and great nephews Austin and Joey of Arizona.

Jeff leaves behind many friends and animals that will miss him. He was preceded in death by beloved mother Paola Mathes.

A Memorial will be planned in the near future.
