Liz (Madsen) Krause

Liz Madsen Krause died peacefully Monday, Oct. 15, 2007, at Hospice Family Care Inpatient Unit, Prescott, Ariz. She was born Oct. 30, 1949, in St. Petersburg, Fla., to John Anders and Anna (File) Madsen.

She attended schools in Chicago before striking out for Calif. and Alaska. After a brief stay in Lake Havasu City, Ariz., Liz found Prescott in 1980.

Liz became an EMT and later one of the first female EMTs in Prescott for Med-Evac and LifeLine ambulances. She changed careers becoming
a Master Gardner at Watters Garden Center. She was very involved with Boy Scout Troup 330.

She is survived by her daughter, Brandee (Jack) Brown, and son Justin Krause; her mother, Anna; and brothers, Gregory Madsen and Dennis Madsen; five granddaughters, Kimberly, Aumber, Ashley, Sierra and Hannah; and one niece, Olivia.

A Celebration of Liz's life will be at a later date.

Hampton Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
