The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, February 21, 2006 Oliver Jasper Pogue, born March 24, 1921, in Warba, Minn., died February 2, in Loma Linda, Calif. An Army veteran. A medical doctor since 1953. Missionary in British Guyana. Practiced medicine in Lincoln, Neb., then Zambia, Rwanda and Korea. Retired in Spring Valley in 1993. Survived by Barbara, his wife for 55 years; sons, Maynard and Roy; daughters, Carol Pogue and Pam Stilson; three granddaughters, and three grandsons; brother, Donald. Memorial service will be held at the Prescott SDA Church, 2980 Willow Creek Road, Prescott, Ariz., 2 p.m., Feb. 25. Family requests gifts to the Scholarship Fund for the Prescott Adventist Christian School in lieu of flowers. Information provided by survivors. |
