Dorothy-Ellen (Levy) Morris

Dorothy-Ellen Morris was born March 17, 1932, to Herbert and Sophia Levy in Detroit, Mich.

She was married May 31, 1953, to Robert 0. Morris in New Haven, Conn. They spent most of their life together in Suffern, N.Y., where they raised their three children, Kenneth R. Morris of Ringwood, N.J., Larry Morris of The Woodlands, Texas, and Hope-Ellen Morris of Hillburn, N.Y.

Dorothy-Ellen was a proud grandmother of seven, Kenneth and Barbara Morris' children, Ken and Steven Morris and Lori Ann Flores of Ringwood, N.J.; Larry and Melinda Morris' children, Spencer and Mackenzie of The Woodlands, Texas; and Hope Morris' children, Cole and Evan Van Dunk of Hillburn, N.Y. She was the great-grandmother of Lily Flores of Wayne, N.J.

Dorothy and Bob retired to Prescott, Ariz., in 1993. They built their home in Williamson Valley where Dorothy, a master gardener, tended her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved her home and the scenic surroundings.

She was an active member of Temple B'rith Shalom, where she managed the gift shop and edited the Temple Bulletin for many years.

A memorial service will take place at Temple B'rith Shalom at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16.
