Donald James Cross, Jr.

Born in Chicago, Illinois on Feb. 11, 1959.
Departed on March 18, 2008 and resided in Camp Verde, Ariz.

Difficult times fall on us and this is my time. My 49 year old husband, Donald J. Cross Jr., was pronounced dead from a massive heart attack on Tuesday morning at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, Arizona.

He had been struggling with heart problems for about 5 years. Just two weeks ago he had 3 more stints added to the previous collection. The Chicago native and former Marine, moved to Idlewood 6 years ago and had been in Arizona for about 8 months.

Memorial services will be held 2 pm Saturday at Oliver's Chapel C.P. Church. Don leaves his six children, Johanna (Tom) Spalding, Brandy, Donny James, David Jeremy, Donica, and William Alexander; three step-children, Star Thomas, Wayne and Autumn White; his mother Beatrice; brother Tommy Roy (Gail), Linda, and Mary Grace, his grandchildren, extended families, Camp Verde First Baptist Church, all at the Bread of Life and many friends.

"Death proffereth unto every believer the cup that is life indeed…it conferreth the gift of everlasting life"

And until next time, have a wonderful day.

A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Camp Verde, Ariz., on Wednesday, March 26 at 10 a.m.

Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Arizona.
