Annette Lucille Cross, 44, of Cottonwood, died March 31, 2007.

She was born March 26, 1963, to Jerry E. and Christine (Balich) Cross in Bisbee, Ariz., where she attended the local schools and graduated from Thatcher High School. Annette then went on to the University of Arizona, in Tucson, where she received her bachelor's degree in Psychology. Her master's degree of Psychology was obtained at Bowie State University in Maryland.

Following her education, Annette worked six years in Annapolis, Md., in Vocational Rehabilitation and Family Assistance. In 1992, Annette returned to Arizona, where she worked for the Department of Economic Security as a Rehabilitation Counselor up to the time of her passing.

Annette leaves behind her parents, Jerry and Christine Cross of Cottonwood; and her sister, Sharyl Cross of Garmisch, Germany.

Friends and family are encouraged to make donations to the Special Education Programs of the Mingus Union, Camp Verde, and Sedona High Schools.

A Visitation will be held at Westcott Funeral Home on Friday, April 6, from 5 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. April 7 at the Church of the Red Rocks in Sedona.

Immediately following the funeral service, Annette will be laid to rest at the Sedona Community Cemetery.

Annette Lucille Cross, 44, resident of Cottonwood, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2007.

She was born March 26, 1963 to Jerry E. and Christine (Balich) Cross in Bisbee, Arizona, where she attended the local schools and graduated from Thatcher High School. Annette then went on to the University of Arizona, in Tucson, where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Her Master’s Degree of Psychology was obtained at Bowie State University in Maryland.

Following her education, Annette worked 6 years in Annapolis, Maryland in Vocational Rehabilitation and Family Assistance. In 1992, Annette returned to Arizona, where she worked for the Department of Economic Security as a Rehabilitation Counselor up to the time of her passing.

Annette enjoyed reading, and she loved nature, and all life around her. She was devoted to her profession, and to the people that she helped.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Stephen Cross; grandparents, Sam and Noddie Balich, and Earl and Lucille Cross. Annette leaves behind her parents, Jerry and Christine Cross of Cottonwood; her sister, Sharyl Cross of Garmisch, Germany; her uncles, Nick and Steve Balich of the Phoenix area; as well as two aunts, 10 cousins along with their families, and many friends and co-workers.
