| The Winterset Madisonian, Winterset, Iowa Wednesday, June 20, 2001 Alice Laura Bruns, 71, of Chandler, Ariz., died June 3, 2001. Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 12, at Zion Luteran Church in Dexter. Burial was at Penn Center Cemetery, Madison County, Iowa. Alice Bruns was born March 24, 1930, in Earlham to Fred J. and Ethel C. (Newman) Scar. She married Don Bruns on June 26, 1949, in Cedar Rapids. She was a member of her church choir, LWML, Living Way Bible Study and Quilters. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother. She is survived by two daughters, Linda King (husband Dave) of Kelowna, British Columbia, Canada, and Dianne Bruns of Mesa, Ariz; two sons, Craig Bruns (wife Connie) of New Bern, N. C., and Churck Bruns of Chandler, Ariz; a brother, Norman Scar of Earlham; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were handled by Kuhn Funeral Homes of Dexter and Earlham. |
