| The Arizona Republic, Phoenix, AZ Sunday, March 17, 2002 Helen Hawkins was born January 19, 1908 in San Francisco, California and died March 10, 2002 in Scottsdale, Arizona. Mrs Hawkins lived in Arizona 83 years. She was an educator, author and consummate student. She held bachelor and master degrees from Arizona State College and taught school in Congress, Quartzsite and retired from Wickenburg High School in the late 1970's. She served as a worthy matron and was a 64-year member of the Eastern Star. Daughters, Margaret and Karen and husband, Carl preceded her in death. Graveside services will be conducted by the Order of Eastern Star, Hassayampa Chapter #35 this Thursday, March 21, 2002, 2pm at Wickenburg Cemetery on Kellis Road.
