The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Monday, March 26, 2007 Kathleen Ellen (Kate) Webb, 76, loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother passed away on March 27, following an extended illness at Mountain View Manor in Prescott. Born October 25, 1930, in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late Edwin and Dorothy Penick. She graduated from Walkerton High School, Indiana in 1948, attended Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, and graduated from Bethel College, Mishawaka, Indiana with a degree in elementary education. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star, New Carlisle, Indiana Chapter. Kathleen married Kenneth Webb in 1978 and relocated to Prescott, Arizona that same year. She became a travel agent for Prescott Travel Agency from which she later retired. Through her many years as a travel agent, she was able to travel to many places of the world and especially enjoyed the many cruises she took with her husband. Kate is survived by her much loved children, Betsy (Jim) Talboom of South Bend, Indiana, Bruce Walz of Prescott Valley, Arizona, Scott (Donna) Walz of Prescott Valley, Arizona; a sister, Patricia Mellin of Plymouth, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; and nine great grand children who adored her residing in Arizona, Indiana and Oregon. Kate was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth Webb, of Prescott; son, Tim Walz of New Carlisle, Ind.; and a sister, Sarah Wilcox of North Liberty, Ind. She will always be remembered as the most loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister and friend anyone could be blessed with. She will be missed by many, as she touched the lives of most who met her. The family thanks Mountain View Manor for the loving, professional care they provided. She loved you all. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m., Friday, March 30, at the Prescott United Methodist Church on Gurley Street. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Prescott United Methodist Church. Hampton Funeral Home assisted the family with the final arrangements. Information provided by survivors. |
