Louise Cubitto Gibbs, 71 passed away Feb. 8, 2009 in Sun City. Louise Kelton Grace was born on May 20, 1037, at Mercy Hospital in Prescott to William E. (Bill) and Lillie Kelton Grace. A few years after graduating from Prescott High School in 1955, she visited her sister in Globe where she met and married Claude D. Cubitto, the proud father of her three daughters.

Bill Chapman was their loving stepfather. Both Claude and Bill as well as her father, Bill, preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughters, Claudia Louise Cubitto of Globe, Marilyn Francis Cubitto-Treacy (Anthony) of Corte Madera, CA., and of Denver, CO., Carole Marie Cubitto (Larry Beets) of Chandler, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her mother, Lillie Grace of Prescott, and six siblings including Dorcas Glidewell, Benicia, CA, Jane Whitbey (Jim), Prescott, Howard Grace (Jody) of Wickenburg, and Bayfield, CO., Claudia Sue Armer (John) of Globe, John Grace (Lenore) of Steamboat, CO, and Wickenburg, Kathy Swope (Ed) of Prescott. Many loving nieces and nephews, other extended family members and friends will miss her helping hand and loving heart.

Louise worked at Cubitto Jewelry, as a front office manager in a dental office, a regional manager of Avon, for ASU Elder Hostile and until weeks before her death she continued to work for Lifetime Learning Elder Hostel as a facilitator/activity director and also as a caregiver for elderly seniors in Sun City.

Her passions were her children and grandchildren, other family and friends, and the elderly including her 98 year-old mother. Louise loved Easter and organized many Easter picnics for her family and friends in Sun City.

In keeping with that tradition, a celebration of life memorial and lunch will be held on Saturday, April 11, at 12:30 p.m. at the home of Claudia Sue and John Armer at 211 S. Third Street in Globe.
