The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Tuesday, May 29, 2007 Curtis Owen Vail, 66, passed away May 27, 2007 with his family by his side. Curt had a courageous battle with cancer the last four years. He was a loving husband of Loretta for 46 years; father of three children, Vance, Wade and Suzy; grandfather of three, Jake, Taylor and Derrik. Curtis was born in Carlsbad, New Mexico and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. Curt resided in Prescott, Arizona the last 20 years where he was the founder of Vail Contracting. Although he was a hard worker Curt knew how to have fun too. He loved motorcycle riding, roping, boating and camping. He especially loved spending time with his family. Ask any of his friends or family and they would tell you how much he touched their lives and what a generous man he was. Curt was preceded in death by his father Virgil; mother Willie Mae; sister Beth Ann Faultner; and baby boy. A funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2007 at American Lutheran Church, 1085 Scott Drive, Prescott, Arizona with visitation one-hour prior. Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007 at Greenwood Memorial Gardens, 2300 W. Van Buren, Phoenix Arizona. Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is assisting with the arrangements.
