Harold Joseph (Joe) Dixon

Harold Joseph (Joe) Dixon, born in Rochester, N.Y., on March 13, 1925, passed away on May 27, 2007, in Prescott, Ariz. Joe moved to Prescott Valley in 1991 from Garden Grove, Calif.

He is survived by two sisters, Muriel Rollins and Marjory Donovan, both of Rochester, N.Y.; daughters Nancy D. Zaky of Glendale, Ariz., and Shirley Bennett of Big Bear City, Calif.; sons, John C. Dixon of Lafayette, Tenn., and Robert P. Dixon of Westminster, Calif.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his 1929 Model A.

A man with a great, and sometimes wacky, sense of humor, Joe loved antique automobiles and cherished his friends and neighbors. He always looked forward to having breakfast with his coffee buddies.

A gathering of family and friends in honor of Joe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Sunrise Funeral Home, 8167 East Highway 69, Prescott Valley, with a celebration of life service to follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Family Care in Prescott.

Joe was loved very much, and will be greatly missed.
