| The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Thursday, April 5, 2007 Claire E. Smith, 91, Sedona, Ariz., died Feb. 23. She was born April 9, 1915, in Tracey, Calif. to Jesse A. and Edith P. (Buell) Garrett. Claire received her education as a Registered Nurse and worked as the School Nurse in Corona, Calif. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ward L. Smith. Claire leaves behind her son, Garrett W. Smith with his wife, B.J. of Vail, Colo.; her daughter, Janet E. Kleine of Sedona; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. No local services were held. Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Arizona. |
