The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, March 17, 2007 Michael Roy Procknow, 57, of Rimrock, Ariz., died Monday, March 12, 2007, in Cottonwood, Ariz. Mike was born on Aug. 4, 1949, in Petoskey, Mich. Mike received a bachelor's in business from North Central Petoskey College. Mike was a member of the Montezuma Chapel in Rimrock and a longtime resident of the Beaver Creek Community. He was a licensed general contractor for most of his life. He enjoyed being troop leader of the Rimrock and Lake Montezuma Boy Scout Troop 8 for three years. He is preceded in death by his mother, Beatrice Maxine Procknow, and his father, Cletus Carl Procknow. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Sharron Procknow of Rimrock; sons, Samuel Procknow (Tiffany) of Rimrock, Ariz., Casey Procknow (Sybil Rogers) of Rimrock, Ariz., Joshua Procknow (Jamie) of Camp Verde, Ariz., and Randy Procknow of Rimrock, Ariz.; his daughters, Katherine (Lacy) Procknow, and Sarah Procknow both of Rimrock, Ariz.; his brothers, Cletus (Butch) Procknow (Marcia) of La Quinta, Calif., Stanley Procknow (Cheryl) of Afton, Mich.; his sisters, Suzie Brown (Leon), and Nancy Penfold (Wayne) all of Cheboygan, Mich.; and 17 grandchildren. A Celebration of Life-Memorial Service will be held at the Montezuma Chapel, 3450 E. Rusty Spurs, in Rimrock, Arizona from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, March 23.
