The Verde Independent, Cottonwood, Arizona Saturday, March 17, 2007 Marvin S. McComas, 90, Cottonwood, Ariz., died at home March 18. He was born Dec. 4, 1916, in St. Paul, Ark., to Johns S. and Paralee (Ogden) McComas. Marvin was a retired fireman for the City of San Diego. He played guitar and sang with the Arizona Old Timer Fiddlers Association. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ruby Taylor. Marvin is survived by his second wife, Tillie, of Cottonwood; his son, Marvin L. (Hap) McComas with his wife, Judy, of San Diego; his daughter, Dawn Weathers of the Village of Oak Creek; eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at Westcott Funeral Home, Cottonwood, Arizona on Saturday, March 24, 2 p.m. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com |
