Cloe Louise (Dake) Kuehneman

Cloe Louise Kuehneman passed away on March 1, 2009. She was born in Newaygo County, Mich. on Sept. 6, 1917 to George Ray and Ada Louise Dake.

In 1939 she graduated from Hackley Hospital School of Nursing in Muskegon, Mich. On Aug. 23, 1940 she married Edward Kuehneman. In 1951 they moved to Arizona because of Asthma of their son Eddie. She worked as a nurse most years until retirement from AZ State Pioneer's Home in 1979.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Jan. 13, 1985; her daughter Karen Ayars; brothers, Carl and Bill Dake; and sister Garnet Reed.

She was a member of The Potter's House Church, and her greatest peace and joy came from the constant presence of Christ. Her children all graduated from Arizona State University. Her daughter and granddaughter also became nurses.

Cloe is survived by her sons, Ed Jr. and Doug (Jennifer) Kuehneman; brother George Dake Jr.; seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Arrangements entrusted to Heritage Funeral Chapel.
