Eloise Caroline (Jacobson) Pope

Eloise Caroline Pope died Feb. 19, 2009, while under the care of Hospice of Arizona in Scottsdale. She was born in Litchfield, Minn., on Aug. 13, 1931, to Arnold and Caroline Jacobson.

She married Eugene W. Pope July 3, 1947, and in 1959 the family moved from Minnesota to Arizona. She lived in the mining community of Bagdad, Ariz., for 45 years. Eloise relocated to Phoenix in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene in August 2002, and son Keith in January 1988. Eloise is survived by her four children, Stevan Pope, Paula Morgan, Bruce Pope and Lori Roush; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, including Janet McGee, all living in Arizona, and six other sisters, Eunice Rosenow, Audrey Schrumal, Doris Pelkey, Jeannie Liestman, Barbara Trochinski, and Mary Gregor of Minnesota.

Memorial services to celebrate her life will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 6, 2009, at the Scottsdale Bible Church Chapel, 7901 East Shea Blvd., Scottsdale, Ariz., 85260.

Arrangements are with Allen Funeral Home in Mesa, Ariz.
