Frank Paul Umana

Frank Paul Umana, 77, of Phoenix died Sunday, August 13, 2006 at Carl T. Hayden Veterans' Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Brockton, MA, the son of the late Frank and Jenny Umano (Pistone), he served in the U.S. Navy before building his own home in Norwell, MA in 1974.

He owned Bayside Auto Body in Weymouth for several years prior to relocating to Phoenix in 1978. He was well known and respected in the community as owner of First Class Auto for over 20 years. In addition, he was an avid member of the American Legion for 22 years, a penalty guard for the Phoenix Roadrunners, a gourmet cook, an artist and jewelry maker.

Survivors include his daughter, Kimberly Keech (Umana) and her husband, Dr. Andrew Keech of Phoenix, son, Frank Umana of North Port, FLA, grandson, Paul Therianos of Glendale, great-granddaughter, Aaliyah, sister, Mary Burke of Brockton, MA and several nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Services were held at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Arizona Animal Rescue League. Arrangements by Paradise Sunset Chapel Funeral Home.
