Pioneer cattleman, contractor, builder of his community, Mr Condron numbered his friends by virtually the census figures of the community. He had lived in Phoenix for quite a while, following his getting out of his cattle holdings in the Walnut Grove country--where, by the way, he was born--to the Three Links Cattle company. Following this deal, about four or five years ago, Mr Condron came north and was soon actively engaged in the contracting business. He constructed the school house at Humboldt. A little later he moved to Prescott with Mrs. Condron and their two children. With W. W. Pickerill, he erected the Pickerill-Condron block on the corner of Cortez and Willis streets where Mr. Pickerill conducted a service station since about 1917. That realty holding was transferred last fall to the Milligan-Weaver interests, and it was understood that Mr. Condron had removed to Wickenburg, where he remained until quite recently. He was the son of a rancher in the Walnut Grove district, and his mother, Mrs Abbie Condron, died last summer; there were also one brother surviving, Frank Condron; and two sisters, Maggie and Mrs Lawrence, both deceased. Mr. Condron will be buried by his parents at Walnut Grove. See Also: Arizona Gravestone Photo Project |
