M. Virginia O¹Grady passed away on Wednesday, November 15 2006 in Peoria, Arizona at the age of 87. She was born on July 21, 1919 in Grand Forks, North Dakota to James Conners and Josephine Reuter. Virginia attended the University of North Dakota, receiving a Bachelor¹s Degree in Home Economics and Dietary Science. She met Lowell O¹Grady at the University, and Virginia and Lowell were married on June 3, 1944 at the Carmel Mission in Carmel, California. Prior to her marriage, she served as a dietician in Cleveland, Ohio and following Lowell¹s discharge from the army, Virginia and Lowell lived briefly in Denver, Colorado. They then moved back to Grand Forks, where they raised their family. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and enjoyed needlework, cooking, swimming, and time with her family. and Lowell moved to Sun City West, Arizona in 1984. While living in the Sun City area, Virginia was formerly a member of the Sun City Saddle Club and the North Dakota Club. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and she and Lowell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 2004. Virginia was always a thoughtful and caring person who retained her sweet disposition throughout her life. She will be missed greatly. Virginia is survived by her son, Lowell A. O¹Grady, Jr. of Youngtown, Arizona, and his wife, Emilia, and their son, Julian. She is also survived by her other son, James B. O¹Grady of Temecula, California, his wife, Jean, and their son, Michael of San Diego, California, and their daughter, Kristin, of Denver, Colorado. Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband Lowell who passed away in 2005. Funeral Mass was celebrated at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 19002 N. 128th Avenue, Sun City West, Arizona.
