The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Wednesday, March 15, 2006 Leon V. Omelka, 84, of Prescott, Ariz., went to be with his Lord late Monday, March 13, 2006. He is survived by Virginia Omelka, his beloved wife of 62 years, by his daughter, Diane Butler of Hendersonville, N.C., and by his son and daughter-in-law, Dennis Leon Omelka, and Judy Gordon-Omelka, of Gray, Tenn. Born in Oakland, Calif., he was a veteran of World War II. Leon was graduate of Stanford University and spent his entire career as an engineer. He retired from Ford Aerospace and moved to Prescott in 1986. Leon was a member of Miller Valley Baptist Church, and he loved photography and gardening. Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home will handle the funeral. A memorial service will be held-at a date to be determined.
