Janet Lynn (Ryan) Hanny

Janet Lynn Hanny, 71, of Prescott, entered into rest on March 16, 2006, at her home. She was born May 1, 1934, in Springfield, Ill.; the daughter of Edward and Evelyn (Cline) Ryan.

Janet was a beautiful person who touched the lives of many and was adored by all who knew her.

She was a member of the Prescott Memorial Ladies, The Yavapai Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution, The Northern Arizona Genealogical Society, The Scottsdale Theater for Children and The Scottsdale Junior Women's League.

Janet was a substitute teacher for the Scottsdale School District from 1980 to 1995 and then for the Prescott School District from 1995 to 1998.

Survivors include her husband, Jack; her children, Christine Will, of Mesa, Ariz., Victor (Pam) Hanny, of Mesa, Ariz., Catherine (Steve) Parker, of Prescott, Ariz., Elizabeth (Cliff) Schiller, of Casa Grande, Ariz., and Kimball (Susan) Hanny, of Gunnison, Colo.; her sister, Kathleen DuBois, of Springfield, Ill; her brothers, Danny (Pam) Ryan, of Show Low, Ariz., and Roger Ryan, of Springfield, Ill; 12 grandchildren, Catherine, Sean, Alysia, Justin, Kristin, Brandon, Thomas, Edward, Ryan, Brendan, Griffin, and Marcus; and one great-grandson, Andrew.

Memorial services will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, at Hampton Funeral Home, 240 S. Cortez St., Prescott.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 E. Sheldon, Prescott, Ariz., 86301.

Hampton Funeral Home, Prescott, Arizona, assisted the family with the arrangements.
