| Leland (Lee) L. Madison Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on Nov. 17, 1936. Departed on April 11, 2008 and resided in Cottonwood, Ariz. Leland L. Madison, known and loved as (Lee), age 71, resident of Cottonwood, Ariz., passed away on Friday, April 11, 2008 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was the son of Earl and Opal (Barret) Madison; born on November 17, 1936, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a child he attended the Battle Creek Schools; following which he served his country during the Korean Conflict with the United States Marine Corps. Lee then dedicated 25 years of his life to the Clausing Corporation as a Lathe Operator and Tool Manufacturer. He was also a member of the Kalamazoo and Portage Eagles for many years. After moving to Cottonwood he worked part-time at the Circle H Car Wash. Lee enjoyed being outdoors and occupied some of his time hunting, fishing and golfing; however, he also loved to go bowling. He was a wonderful person who was and will always be loved dearly by his family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Beverly Crapo; his daughter, Barbara Madison; his brother, Charles Madison; and his granddaughter, Wendy Keeler. Lee leaves behind his new bride of four years, Wilma Madison of Cottonwood; three sons, Daniel (Grace) Madison of Rockford, Mich., Kenneth Madison of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Robert (Angela) Madison of Cottonwood; three daughters, Lynda (Jerry) Lawrence of Delton, Mich., Judith Merriam of Galesburg, Mich., and Kathy (Daniel) Taggert of Hastings, Mich.; his step-son, David Speakman; his brother, Leroy (Joanne) Madison of Parchment, Mich.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as, many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Service will be held at the Clarkdale Baptist Church, where Leland was a membe, on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 11:00 am.
