Ernesto L. Verdugo of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away on December 12, 2005 at the age of 75. Ernesto was born in Clifton, Arizona to Elvira L. and Victoriano and lived most of his married life in Hawaii. He is survived by his wife Rebecca, daughters Emma & Cherry (Kevin McCoy), son Ernie and five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Ernesto was a retired Marine highly decorated for his service in the Korean & Vietnam Wars. He attended Arizona State University and played football in his Freshman year. He will be fondly remembered by his brothers & sisters and numerous friends. A memorial service was held in Sacred Heart Church in Clifton, AZ, January 14, 2006. A military salute will be offered by the American Legion Post 28 Published in The Arizona Republic on 1/10/2006. |
