Bennie T. Patterson

Bennie T. Patterson, 72, went to be with the Lord on March 28, 2007. He was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on January 26, 1935, and moved to Arizona in 1941.

He graduated with the first graduating class of West High School. Bennie retired from the Arizona Dept. of Transportation in 1990.

Because of his drive to further his education and lead by example for his grandchildren, he completed his BA from NAU after his retirement.

He is survived by his mother Eva Stout; brother Ken; his high school sweetheart wife Joyce, of 53-1/2 years; two daughters, Lynn Hutcherson and Kathy Dressler; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Bennie was a Deacon in the Baptist Church since the age of 22. He worked as a servant of the Lord caring for others for 50 years. God is Love and Bennie's life reflected that love as he touched many.

Visitation was on Saturday, March 31, at noon at the former Desert Springs Community Church located at the 447 S. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park, Ariz. Memorial service began at 12:30 p.m.

Graveside service followed at 2 p.m. at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6290 aW. Northern Ave., Glendale, Ariz.
