Hedy Earlene (Lynn) Merker

Hedy Earlene (Lynn) Merker went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 26, 2007.

This woman of character was loved by all. She was born in Checotah, Oklahoma, on December 28, 1926.

She married Fred Merker of Illinois, September 30, 1944. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary September 30, 2006.

Hedy was preceded in death by their eldest daughter, Sharon Leisering and survived by her beloved husband, Fred, of Prescott Valley, Arizona; daughters, Janice Mueller, Judith Rutherford (Tom), Gale Markham; seven grandchildren, Kim Marty, Ken Leisering, Heather Mueller, Jamie Mueller, Gale Perez, Karen Elmore, Clay Markham; and nine great-grandchildren.

Lynn was a hard-working, caring, giving woman who loves the Lord. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, gardening, reading, cooking and baking. She taught well by example the traits of wisdom, dignity, honesty and grace. Loved immensely, she will be greatly missed - Our loss is heaven's gain.

A celebration of life service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Mountain Valley Church of God, 8123 E. Manley Drive, Prescott Valley.
