Eva P. (Polly) Otto

Eva P. (Polly) Otto passed away Jan. 10, 2006.

She was born in Polo, Missouri, and grew up in Otis, Colorado.

Polly taught school and even coached basketball in Lonestar, Co. This was in her early years before she became a teacher in Pueblo, Colorado. She taught at Irving Grade School, Morton Grade School, Keating Junior High School, and Pitts Middle School. Polly was a social studies teacher at Central High School before she became a Media Center Specialist at Central. Polly had a B.A. from the University of Northern Colorado, M.A. from Western State College, and further studies from Adams State College. She also taught extension courses for Adams State.

Polly received many honors during her teaching career, one of the most notable was being named to Who's Who of American Women. Not only was Polly an outstanding teacher, but a wonderful mother and wife. While at Sun Lakes Arizona she was President of the Women's Golf Club and played and taught Bridge in the community. She will surely be missed by her friends and family.

Polly is survived by her husband Gerald Otto, daughter Judy Patt Show, Step-daughter Jerrelynn Fussell and Step-son John Otto.

No funeral services or memorial services are planned at this time per her written wishes. In Lieu of flowers Please send your memorials in her name to Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix Arizona.
