Dorothy Leah Brossard Nelson

Born in Cresant Mills, California on April 12, 1921.
Departed on Sept. 5, 2006 and resided in Sedona, Ariz.

A native of Northern California and a resident of Sedona, Arizona for the past 12 years, Dorothy Nelson passed away peacefully on September 5, 2006 at her home.

Ms. Nelson was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her personal beliefs and philosophies sustained her throughout her life with remarkable grace and dignity.

She is survived by four children, Eric Nelson, Ray Nelson, Jr., Christy Nelson Harper and Nancy Nelson Swan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray E. Nelson, and one son, Larry Nelson.

She leaves a legacy of 19 grandchildren and 12 grandchildren.

A friend to many and a loving mother and grandmother, she will be deeply missed and always remembered.

A Celebration of Life service is planned on September 15, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at the Sedona Creative Life Center in Sedona, Arizona. Her family invites all those who would like to share in this time with them.

A private ceremony will be held for interment in Taylorsville, California.
