The Daily Courier, Prescott, Arizona Sunday, December 15, 2013 James Frederick Engle was born July 2, 1936, in Zanesville, Ohio, to Kenneth Franklin Engle and Lucy I. Moyer. He went to his heavenly home on Dec. 12, 2013. The family moved from Ohio for his mother's health when Jim was a very young boy. They relocated to Phoenix, Ariz., and Jim joined the United States Air Force in January 1956. He served as an instrument mechanic with an honorable discharge in 1960. Jim worked in various sales positions for several years, including milk delivery, Holsom Bread, and office equipment sales. He started his banking career with Arizona Bank in Phoenix. He later moved to Thunderbird Bank until 1983. For the remaining 10 years, he worked for two small banks in the Phoenix-Chandler area. James is survived by his wife, Joyce Hope Engle; sons Paul Engle and Scott Engle; daughter Lara Lynn Engle; stepsons Howell, Mark and Jason Branham; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Engle in Texas and Ronald Engle in Oregon. A memorial service for James will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at First Baptist Church. He will be interred at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 23, at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
